April & May Reading Challenge Updates

So it looks like I skipped updating my reading challenges for April. So this post will have April and May progress reports.

I'm finally nearing the end of my ARC TBR list and I couldn't be happier! Not that I don't enjoy reading these books. I just accepted too many too close together (many with only a week between deadlines). This would be ok if I had gotten around to reading some of these earlier. I'm looking forward to reading some books I've had for a while. I picked up Slammed by Colleen Hoover for $1.50 yesterday and would like to get to it sooner rather than later. Plus I've got several books I'd purchased or got free earlier this year that I'd like to read. On to the progress reports.

 There were a few challenges that I didn't have any progress for in April and May. But I did read six books in April and five books in May.

Bet on Me was an ok book, but I just didn't enjoy it enough to review. I loved Game of Fear and you can read my review here.

Currently Reading

 

 For a zombie book, I'm enjoying this one so far. If you like The Walking Dead, you'll probably like this one.

Finished Reading

I enjoyed both of these books. But if I had to pick a favorite between the two, I'd have to pick The Midnight Sea. It was such a good story!

Currently Reading

 

It's been another few weeks since I've touched Game of Thrones, but it's still on my radar. I'm loving Cross the Stars! I find it difficult to put it down. It will rank pretty close to Midnight Sea. I love getting to learn about the culture of Jordan. Cross the Stars was one of the books I really looked forward to when I signed up for it. I'm glad it is living up to its potential!

What Will I Read Next?

 

I'm trying to work my way to the bottom of my ARC pile so that I can read some other things I've picked up. I definitely signed up for too many :) I've decided to limit myself to one or two ARCs a month from now on.

Sorry, I just couldn't get this posted this weekend. Then I had some other posts I wanted to do or scheduled. I was actually going to try to include this in my update post, but thought it would be too long of a post. So it's going on an odd day.

I really thought I hadn't picked up that many new books. BOY, WAS I WRONG! I have put myself on a book purchasing ban. We are going on vacation this summer and I'm trying to save for that. Probably should have thought of that sooner. But, oh well! Of course, freebies are always welcome!
