Would you Rather ... Book Tag

I found this book tag at A Kernel of Nonsense and thought it looked like fun. So here are my answers.

"Would you rather only read trilogies or only read standalones?" Boy, this is a hard one. I dislike waiting for the next book in a series. But I'm still choosing trilogies because it's possible to wait to read the trilogy until it's all published. I tend to be behind with series any way. I like getting to spend extra time with the same characters. Sometimes you just fall in love with a character and it's almost like he or she becomes family.

"Would you rather only read male or female authors?" I don't have a preference. However, I think that I already tend to read more female authors. So I'll choose female authors.

"Would you rather shop at Barnes and Noble or Amazon?" In my opinion this is another hard one. I'd much rather spend hours in a brick and mortar bookstore. However, the closest Barnes and Noble to me is 2 1/2 hours away. So I'll have to go with Amazon on this one. Plus the majority of my book purchases over the last few years have been with Amazon.

"Would you rather books were made into TV shows or movies?" I'm going to say movies. I can't really think of any books that were made into TV shows. I can think of a lot of movies based on books that I love.

"Would you rather be a professional author or reviewer?" Author - it's been a lifelong dream of mine. I'd love to create a world that others enjoy reading about. I'm not sure I'll ever accomplish this dream, but I'll continue to try.

"Would you rather read only 5 pages per day or 5 books per day?" I'm lucky if I get 1 book read in a week. So I'd go with 5 books per day.

"Would you rather be a librarian or bookseller?" I'm thinking bookseller. I just think it would be neat to own your own unique and cozy bookstore.

"Would you rather only read your favorite genre, or every other genre but your favorite?" Gosh, it would be hard for me to choose a favorite genre. I like so many genres and switch back and forth. So I'll say I'd rather read every other genre but my favorite.

"Would you rather only read ebooks or physical books?" I'd rather read ebooks. It's just so convenient. I can purchase a new book with the click of a button and it will be delivered in an instant. Plus it's so much easier to carry my Kindle in my purse than some of the big thick books. But I'd reserve the right to purchase physical books with pretty covers to put on my bookshelf and admire. I don't have to actually "read" them. LOL

I tag anyone who would like to take part in this book tag. Feel free to leave a link to your post in the comments so that I can check out your answers.

  1. Nice answers! As much as I complain about the wait between books, series can be so incredibly rewarding. I love spending time in bookstores too and if the prices in the store were the same as they are online, I'd probably reach for the car keys more than my computer. Glad you enjoyed the tag!

    1. Yeah it's usually dangerous for our family to step foot in a bookstore. Ha Ha

  2. This is fabulous! I like this tag :) And I agree with ALL of your answers. At first I was going to say all but the last one, but then you reserved the right to purchase physical copies, and I was sold! Somehow, I read ebooks faster, plus they're easier to hold ;) And I am such a series girl, I would lose my mind if I could only read standalones!
Thanks for sharing these, they're so fun!

    1. For me e-books are just so much handier. I'm always on an electronic device of some sort and I can always access my book on any of those devices - laptop, phone, kindle, computer at work.
